So, what seems like a long time ago (it was) my parents came over to China to visit! 🙂 I think they had a great time, and I certainly enjoyed having them! I tried to show them what my every day life is like, as oppose to just doing a bunch of touristy things, as such… the photos may not be the most interesting ever, but they’re certainly great memories for me…
First day, and it was a meal in the ‘famous’ “green restaurant” that they’d always heard me talking about. Sorry for the quality of some of these pics — camera phone.
They were also celebrating their anniversary out here – so here they are with some presents and cards.
Walking the streets of Weinan.
B sorting out our breakfast — Baozi.
Left: The female traffic cops that direct traffic in the intersection having a ‘changing of the guard.’ Right: On the first day we also went shopping. In China, there’s a sort of sub-fashion for wearing matching clothes, so we stocked up!
B and my mum got on very well, as expected. 🙂
Resting after all the jumping on the bed.
B’s sister, Angelina, posing…with pringles.
Good times!
Left: My father easily picking me up. Right: Me (not so) easily picking my father up.
Part of the entertainment of the holiday, at least for me and my father, was watching the Chinese workers building this park. (which is now finished, by the way — blog post on that soon. Well, when I say soon…you know what I mean.)
Cute lil’ anniversary gift for my parents.
In the other new park; Chao Yang park.
Drinking beer on ‘BBQ Street.’
My father laughs at the chaotic traffic below as he looks down from his hotel window.
…while my father grabs 40 winks.
The hotel was actually a cool place for shooting photos.
In Chao Yang park — it doesn’t look it, but it was HOT.
Finished the trip to the park with some climbing of the random rock they have there. Good times.
Part 2 soon. No, really! 🙂
More pics from part one, here!
Well they were worth the wait! Love the one on BBQ street with the drunk guy in the background a few seconds before he falls over. xx
The leather sofas and other interieur of Guang Ming Hotel remind my on my stay in Weinan.
