Easter at Aston 2011

Ah, the wonders of being almost a year behind with my blog. Things I post about from last year are almost relevant again! Like today’s post; Easter! So, at Aston we like the kids to “celebrate” the western holidays to try and absorb some of our culture. We don’t go into the details…well, in fact, we don’t even tell them anything about the holiday’s religious roots. They just think it’s a holiday about eating chocolate and painting eggs. Well, not too far off…
So, we told the kids to bring in some hard boiled eggs and they could decorate them. Failing that, they could just decorate an egg-shaped piece of paper. They were surprisingly creative.
No prizes for quality of English here.
Staying in the lines is tough.
Felt tip pens – always photogenic!
I know what you’re thinking, there’s a few eggs in there that look AMAZING!
Yeah, they were my eggs. Haha. 😛 Decorating eggs is kinda fun? Who knew?! The flag one is double-sided with the UK on one side and China on the other one. Flags on an egg. That works.
How are YOU going to be celebrating Easter this year? I definitely recommend painting some eggs! 🙂
