Motorbike shoot – March 8th

So, one of our (since departed) FTs, Jim, decided to buy a motorbike. I figured it had been a while since I took photos of a shiny new vehicle, so why not take some photos for him. We went up to the reservoir to the south of the city and took along some lights (and people) to help out. The reason I originally got into photography was for shooting vehicles (then cars) so it was interesting to go back to my roots so to speak. Anyway, I know you came for the pics, so here they are…
Jim riding his horse with no license, no registration and no insurance. When in Rome…
This is one of my favourite shots of the day, so you get it big. Even if it doesn’t fit this page all that well.
Interesting backdrop, nothing like this back home in Stafford.
One of Winfred’s friends who came out to join in the fun.
Which of course means Winfred was there! Looking bad ass…
Unlike me. Oh well, I guess the relatively small (underpowered) bike looks bigger with me on it. 😛
Also helped Jim out with a few photos he could use for his blog or whatever.
While we were there doing our thing, a small patrol of soldiers came jogging past on exercises. The bike was parked in the middle of the road and one of them jumped clean over it and carried on running.
Riding to a new location. Safety first with the helmet.
The bike is a 2011 Honda CBF-125 made for the Chinese market. It’s 125cc of fury and only had drum brakes front and rear; but at £780 brand new and on the road; who can complain?
It’s quite a good looking piece of kit. I do <3 Honda.
Another fav of the day.
Here you can see the setup, and comparing the two you can see the photoshopping that goes on.
In the evening we headed to Fattie’s. So called because of this guy; ‘Fatty.’
Just another day in Weinan. For more pics from the set, look here.
Badass bro, badass. That is all.
