Sorry for the delay getting Day 5 up. This week I was out of town and off the grid following another trip to An’kang, B’s hometown. More on that in future posts. Anyway, day 5 was our final day in Qingdao, and we just took a short trip back to the seafront to check it out. The weather had taken a turn for the worst, and me and B were both feeling a little under the weather…
Day 5’s map is fairly simple.
Car spotting! Spotted this Cadillac Escalade… the first one I’ve ever seen in real life!
This is a que. In my ‘hometown’ in China, nobody ques. It’s just not in the culture. As a British man, this orderly, quiet que (before the bus even arrived) made me happy.
One thing I’ve noticed in China is their definition of “Carry on.” The airline rules are the same as ours. But, the people seem to understand it as “if you can physically carry it on… it’s okay!” This lady had so many bags, she needed a trolley, then she had a handbag, laptop bag and another small bag on the seat next to her.
Waiting patiently…delayed….waiting not so patiently.
One final bit of car spotting; I’m fairly sure if this was painted black, it would look like the Bat-mobile from the new movies.
That finishes the Qingdao trip! To see the full set, look, here.
You would not like queues if you had gone to Alton towers on Friday! It was ridiculous! The kids haven’t even broke up ! Xxx
Nice photos. I especially like the composite images where you do a few side by side. I might have to borrow that idea from you.
